The Northfield Fire Prevention and Inspection Service is responsible for inspecting and
certifying all properties within the Village of Northfield for compliance
with local, state, and federal fire and safety ordinances, with the
exception of single and two family dwellings.
On 02-19-08 the Village adopted the 2006 International Fire Code as well as guidelines outlined in
the Village's own Zoning Ordinance. The Fire Inspector is in the office
on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and can
be reached at (847) 446-9200 X 3557.
