The Northfield Fire Training Division is responsible for coordinating
and facilitating instructional programs and refresher training required to
maintain and improve the various and increasing specialty skills, which
make up today's fire service.
These programs include the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshals
Certifications for Firefighter II, Figherfighter III, Fire Officer I, II,
III, Fire Apparatus Operators, Fire Investigator, Technical Rescue
Specialist, Hazardous Materials, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, Dive
Rescue, Vehicle Extrication and Instructor I, II.
The Northfield Training Division also trains with other Departments in
the MABAS Division III, and the Training Officer is an active member of the
MABAS Div. III Training Committee.
