Public Works Department

Department Information

The Northfield Public Works Department is responsible for the installation, management and maintenance of the Village’s roads, water resources, sewers, parks, forestry and other various infrastructure projects. The Northfield Public Works Department has eleven full-time and six part-time employees. Additionally, two to four part-time seasonal employees are added during the busier summer months between May and October to help manage additional maintenance activites.

The Public Works Department also works closely with the Community Development Department and Engineering Division on problems related to storm or sewer run off, flooding, tree preservation, and street maitenance.
