Village Administration

Village Manager

The Village Manager, who is appointed by the President and Board of Trustees, serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and head of the Administrative Branch of the Village overseeing all departments and employees.  The Manager also acts in the capacity of Village Clerk.

 

The Village Manager is responsible to the President and Board of Trustees for the proper administration of day to day and long term operations and services of the Village.  The Village Manager is responsible for the appointment and removal of non elected
officers and employees of the Village.

 

Other duties of the Village Manager include:

  • Appointment and removal of the Village Attorney, Village Prosecutor and Village Engineer

  • Preparation and submittal of the annual budget
    and reports on finances and administrative activities of the Village

  • Intergovernmental relations

  • Attendance at all meetings of the Village Board

  • Implementation and enforcement of Village Codes and policies

  • Investigation of all complaints concerning administration of the government of the Village and services maintained by public utilities in the Village and to see that all franchises, permits and privileges granted by the Village are faithfully observed.
