When a new resident moves into a Northfield property they need to notify the Northfield Water Department to set up their water billing account by calling the Village Hall, (847) 446-9200 ext. 2225
Water is billed quarterly and also includes a charge for sanitary
sewer use. Rate adjustments, when required;
usually go into effect on May 1st. A 10% late fee is applied to bills paid after the due date.
Water/sewer payment can be deducted directly from a resident's checking account on the due date of the bill. Residents who
wish to participate in the program, should complete and return the Authorization Agreement to the Village Hall.
Residents moving out of Northfield, or to another address in Northfield,are required to notify the Northfield Water Department to request a
final reading to close the account and update water billing information.
