[ARCHIVED] Featured Business: Sweet Time Cafe

WhatsNewSweetTime.jpg

When entrepreneurial sisters Sari and Jane found themselves between jobs at the same time in 2005, they thought it was a perfect time to team up. They started Temp Time, a staffing agency for general office support ranging from clerical and data entry to human resources and IT assistance.

In addition to being staffing experts, Sari and Jane share a passion for baking sweets. As time went on, they decided to follow their passions and pursue baking, featuring their signature toffee, brownies and chocolate chip banana bread. They began as a web-based business and baked in commercial kitchens, but quickly outgrew them.

The two sisters opened Sweet Time Café in 2014 and haven’t looked back! Upon opening the Café, they partnered with a trained chef who masterfully created their breakfast and lunch menus. The Café is known for their large portion sizes, friendly service and delicious made-from-scratch daily specials. Their countertop is filled with a daily selection of homemade sweet treats. Sari and Jane refuse to take tips, and instead have a donation jar on their counter for charities that have personally touched their lives.

While staffing and serving breakfast and lunch are their “bread and butter,” Sari and Jane’s true passion is their sweets. The toffee is conveniently bite-sized and can be molded to almost any shape for all holidays and occasions. The ladies recently trademarked their newest creation, Broffee- a delicious combination of their decadent fudgy brownie and buttery almond toffee.

Special orders are their specialty, as they ship thousands of pounds of sweets each year as both corporate and personal gifts. You can place orders through their website www.sweettimeinc.com, or stop into Sweet Time Café at 2 Northfield Plaza Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM to grab lunch and a quick bag of treats. Make sure to call Sweet Time Café to craft made-to-order delicacies for weddings, showers and any other sweet occasion!
